How does netanagent.com work?
You enter basic details about your property. Those details are anonymised and circulated to estate agents covering your area — both traditional high-street firms and online agents. Interested agents respond with a proposal setting out the fee they would charge, where they would advertise your property, what type of agent they are, and a short pitch for themselves.
You review the proposals, then invite whichever agents you like to carry out a valuation. Your contact details are only released to the agents you choose. Once you have instructed someone, netanagent.com will notify the unsuccessful agents on your behalf, which saves an awkward round of phone calls.
Is netanagent.com any good?
Its genuine value is price discovery. Most sellers have no idea what the going commission rate is in their area, and ringing three local agents tends to produce three similar quotes. Seeing several written proposals side by side is a much stronger negotiating position, and it costs you nothing.
