netanagent.com Review

netanagent.com isn’t an estate agent — it’s a free comparison service where local and online agents pitch for your business. Useful for finding out what agents in your area actually charge before you commit to any of them.

It is worth being clear about what netanagent.com is: not an estate agent, but a marketplace that puts estate agents in competition for your instruction. You never pay netanagent.com — it is paid by the agent you eventually instruct, which is the same commercial model most comparison services use.

How does netanagent.com work?

You enter basic details about your property. Those details are anonymised and circulated to estate agents covering your area — both traditional high-street firms and online agents. Interested agents respond with a proposal setting out the fee they would charge, where they would advertise your property, what type of agent they are, and a short pitch for themselves.

You review the proposals, then invite whichever agents you like to carry out a valuation. Your contact details are only released to the agents you choose. Once you have instructed someone, netanagent.com will notify the unsuccessful agents on your behalf, which saves an awkward round of phone calls.

Is netanagent.com any good?

Its genuine value is price discovery. Most sellers have no idea what the going commission rate is in their area, and ringing three local agents tends to produce three similar quotes. Seeing several written proposals side by side is a much stronger negotiating position, and it costs you nothing.

The reviews are mixed, and the most common complaint is worth knowing about in advance: some users report a heavy volume of unsolicited calls after submitting their details. If you are sensitive to that, use a secondary phone number or email address.

The other limitation is coverage. The service is only as good as the agents signed up in your postcode — in some areas you may get a healthy set of competing proposals, in others only one or two.

Who is netanagent.com best for?

  • Sellers who want to know the real market rate for commission in their area before negotiating
  • Anyone weighing a high-street agent against an online one and wanting a like-for-like comparison
  • People who would rather stay anonymous while they research
  • Sellers who are not in a rush and are happy to read through several proposals

netanagent.com pros and cons

Pros

  • Completely free to the seller
  • You stay anonymous until you pick which agents to contact
  • Compares traditional and online agents in one place
  • Written fee proposals give you real leverage to negotiate
  • It notifies the agents you didn’t choose, so you don’t have to

Cons

  • Several users report a high volume of unsolicited calls after signing up
  • Coverage and competitiveness depend entirely on which agents have signed up locally
  • It doesn’t sell your house — you still instruct and manage an agent yourself
  • Agents self-describe in their pitches, so claims aren’t independently verified
  • The cheapest proposal isn’t necessarily the best agent

Our verdict on netanagent.com

Treat netanagent.com as a research tool rather than a selling service and it earns its place. Getting several written fee proposals for free, before you speak to anyone, is a real advantage — even if you end up instructing an agent you found some other way. Go in expecting a burst of contact once you submit, and use the proposals to negotiate rather than accepting one at face value.

Correct at time of writing (July 2026). We have deliberately left specific fees off this page because online estate agent pricing changes often and varies by location, property value and payment option — check the current figure directly with netanagent.com before you commit.
