OffAgent sits in a different category from Purplebricks or Yopa. It is a private-sale platform: you get access to the portals that buyers actually search, plus tools like an online valuation, and in return you take on the work an estate agent would normally do. The cost saving is substantial, and so is the effort.
How does OffAgent work?
You create your listing through OffAgent’s platform — your own photographs, your own description, your own asking price, helped by its real-time valuation tool. OffAgent then publishes the listing to Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket, which is the part a private seller cannot normally do alone, since those portals only accept listings from member agents.
From there, enquiries come to you. You arrange and conduct viewings, field offers, negotiate, and manage the sale through to completion — usually alongside a conveyancer you appoint separately.
Is OffAgent any good?
For the right seller, the value is obvious: portal exposure is the single most important thing an estate agent provides, and OffAgent delivers it for a fraction of the cost of commission. Reviewers who have done well with it tend to be people who can photograph a property properly, write a decent description, and are confident negotiating.
The honest caveat is that OffAgent is a newer and much smaller operation than the established hybrid agents, and some reviewers describe the service as still maturing. The volume of independent reviews is modest, so there is less evidence to draw on than for Purplebricks or Yopa. If something goes wrong mid-sale, you have less of a safety net.

Our verdict on OffAgent
OffAgent is the right answer for a specific seller: someone with a genuinely saleable property, the confidence to negotiate, and the time to run the process. If that is you, the saving against even a fixed-fee agent is significant. If you are unsure about pricing, uncomfortable talking money with buyers, or unable to do viewings, the money you save here can easily be lost on the sale price or a collapsed chain.
